No ticket matched all six numbers in the Powerball drawing on Saturday, October 31, 2026, so the Halloween jackpot went unclaimed and the top prize rolls over to an estimated $793 million for the next drawing on Monday, November 2, 2026.

The winning numbers from the Saturday night draw were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with the red Powerball number 20. The Power Play multiplier drawn was 3x. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, and Monday's drawing will be the next chance for a player to take the jackpot, with a cash option of $339.9 million before taxes.

Key Points

• The Powerball winning numbers for Saturday, October 31, 2026, were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with Powerball 20 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x.
• No ticket matched all six numbers, so the advertised $770 million Halloween jackpot rolled over to an estimated $793 million for Monday, November 2.
• Three tickets matched all five white balls: one in North Carolina won $2 million with Power Play, one in Georgia won $1 million, and one in the United Kingdom won a fixed £1 million prize.
• The separate Double Play drawing produced 16, 52, 55, 58 and 67, with Powerball 24.
• Nobody has won the Powerball jackpot since August 12, 2026, when a ticket sold in Illinois won an estimated $1.04 billion; Monday will be the 35th drawing since then.

What Happened

The Saturday draw closed a week in which the jackpot had been advertised at $760 million for most of the week before late ticket sales pushed it to $770 million by drawing time. Even at that level, no ticket matched the full combination of five white balls plus the red Powerball, extending a jackpot run that began in mid-August.

The second tier told a happier story for three players. A ticket sold in North Carolina matched all five white balls and carried the Power Play option, turning the standard $1 million Match 5 prize into $2 million. A ticket sold in Georgia matched the same five white balls without Power Play and won $1 million. A player in the United Kingdom, where Powerball went on sale on July 21, 2026, also matched all five white balls and won the fixed £1 million prize on offer there. It was the fourth time a UK player has matched five numbers since the game launched there, and the UK's 44th Powerball draw took place in the early hours of Sunday, November 1.

Powerball's own prize structure fixes the Match 5 plus Power Play prize at $2 million regardless of the multiplier drawn, which is why the North Carolina ticket is worth $2 million even though the multiplier on the night was 3x. The multiplier can multiply smaller, non-jackpot prizes, but the top second-tier prize is capped at that $2 million figure.

The Double Play drawing, a separate game played on the same ticket for an extra cost, produced its own set of numbers on Saturday: 16, 52, 55, 58 and 67, with a red Powerball of 24. Double Play gives players a second chance at prizes from the same numbers, but it does not feed into the main jackpot.

Background and Context

The current jackpot run began after the last jackpot win on August 12, 2026, when a ticket sold in Illinois claimed an estimated $1.04 billion prize. Since then, drawing after drawing has produced no jackpot winner, and the prize has climbed steadily through the autumn. Monday's drawing will be the 35th since that Illinois win, a long dry spell even by Powerball's standards, where the odds of matching all six numbers on a single $2 ticket are 1 in 292.2 million.

The run has followed a familiar pattern for large American lotteries. As the advertised jackpot grows, ticket sales rise, which in turn pushes the next advertised jackpot higher. The October 28 drawing, covered earlier on this site, had an advertised jackpot of $716 million and produced the numbers 11, 13, 16, 47 and 60, with Powerball 13 and a 2x Power Play multiplier, and no jackpot winner. That result rolled the prize forward to the Halloween drawing, and Saturday's result has now rolled it forward again to $793 million.

Powerball is played across the United States and, since July 2026, in the United Kingdom through The National Lottery. In the United States, a jackpot winner chooses between the advertised annuity, paid over 30 years, and a lump-sum cash option. For Monday's drawing, the cash option is listed at $339.9 million, both figures before taxes. State and federal taxes, and the rules on claiming and anonymity, vary by the state where the ticket was sold, so the amount a winner actually keeps depends on where and how they claim.

The Michigan angle in Saturday's coverage was a reminder of how large the game has grown: the largest winning Powerball ticket ever sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and was sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc. That ticket remains the benchmark for Michigan players checking their numbers after a big draw.

Powerball Results Oct 31: What the Numbers Mean for Monday

Monday's $793 million jackpot is the direct consequence of Saturday's miss. Every drawing without a jackpot winner adds the unsold prize money to the next pot, and with 34 drawings already passing since the last jackpot win, the pot has grown from its reset level to one of the largest on offer this year. The cash option of $339.9 million is the lump sum a sole winner could take instead of the annuity, before taxes are deducted.

For players, the practical points are unchanged. Tickets cost $2 per play, with Power Play available as an add-on that multiplies non-jackpot prizes. The next drawing is Monday, November 2, 2026, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, and it can be watched live on Powerball's website, with clips replayed on its YouTube channel. Players are urged to check tickets carefully, since second-tier and smaller prizes are frequently claimed late, and to sign the back of a winning ticket and keep it somewhere safe.

The odds remain the same whatever the jackpot size. Matching all six numbers is a 1-in-292.2-million shot, and buying more tickets for a bigger jackpot does not change the odds on any single ticket. Lottery officials and responsible-gambling groups repeat the same advice after every large rollover: play for entertainment, set a budget, and never spend money needed for essentials in pursuit of a jackpot.

Reactions and Quotes

Coverage of the Halloween draw focused on the near misses rather than the jackpot itself. Reports from multiple lottery news outlets agreed on the same headline facts: no jackpot winner, three Match 5 winners, and a $793 million prize for Monday. The North Carolina ticket drew particular attention because the Power Play option doubled its prize to $2 million, the maximum available for matching five white balls.

The United Kingdom result also drew notice in British coverage, which recorded the £1 million Match 5 prize as the fourth of its kind since Powerball launched there in July. For UK players, the game is sold as a fixed-prize draw alongside the American jackpot, so a UK Match 5 winner receives £1 million rather than a share of the American prize pool.

No jackpot winner means no winner's story yet: no ticket holder has been identified, and no claim has been announced for the Halloween draw's top second-tier prizes. That is normal at this stage, since winners of large prizes often take days or weeks to come forward, and lottery officials do not identify a winner until a claim is verified.

Why It Matters

A $793 million jackpot matters beyond the players who buy tickets, because large jackpots drive a surge in sales that benefits the good causes and state budgets lotteries support, while also drawing attention to the risks of problem gambling. Every rollover brings a fresh wave of coverage, office pools and first-time players, and Monday's drawing, falling the day before the November 3 midterm elections, is likely to attract even more casual attention than usual.

For regular players, Saturday's result is also a useful checkpoint. The numbers 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with Powerball 20, are now fixed in the record, and the Double Play numbers are fixed alongside them. Anyone holding a ticket from Saturday should check both sets, since a Double Play prize is separate from the main draw and is easy to overlook.

The result also extends one of the longest jackpot droughts of recent years. Thirty-five drawings without a jackpot winner is a long run, but it is not unprecedented for Powerball, whose jackpot has previously rolled for months before being won. The longer the run, the larger the prize, and the larger the prize, the more tickets are sold, which is exactly the cycle that has carried the jackpot from $716 million on October 28 to $793 million for Monday.

What Happens Next

The next Powerball drawing takes place on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The advertised jackpot is $793 million, with a $339.9 million cash option, both before taxes. If no ticket matches all six numbers on Monday, the jackpot will roll again to Wednesday's drawing, and the prize will climb further.

Players with Saturday tickets should check them against both the main numbers and the Double Play numbers, and keep any winning ticket safe until it is claimed. Prize claim deadlines vary by state, and smaller prizes can often be claimed at retailers, while larger prizes must be claimed through the state lottery.

US News Pulse will report Monday's drawing result as soon as the numbers are confirmed, including whether the $793 million jackpot has finally been won and where any winning ticket was sold.
